Course Information
Description10-196-200 PM FOR CAPM CERTIFICATION ...prepares students for the Project Management Institute (PMI) CAPM certification exam. Gain basic understanding of PMBOK Guide processes and knowledge areas, identifying key steps involved in a project lifecycle, and ability to create project management plan that includes Project Charter, Scope Statement, and Work Breakdown Structure. (Prerequisite: 10-196-188, Project Management Fundamentals)

  1. Interpret the process and guidelines for applying for the CAPM ® Certification exam.
  2. Summarize the PMBOK® Guide tools and techniques for CAPM exam success
  3. Apply the principles and processes described in the PMBOK® Guide.
  4. Discuss the project management knowledge areas, process groups, and the relationships among them.
  5. Design a model that illustrates the characteristics, techniques, and challenges associated with initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closeout of projects.
