Course Information
Description10-606-125 LANDSCAPE DESIGN TECHNOLOGY ...using computer and computer aided design software as tools for design communication. It is intended to be an introduction to the fundamental components of CAD in landscape design. Property lines, topography, site planning, hardscapes, planting plans, and section view graphics will be covered. (Prerequisite: 10-606-127, Landscape Design Studio; Recommendation: 10-606-112, Computer Apps for Technicians)

Course Competencies
  1. Refresh basic computer skills
  2. Use AutoCAD functions.
  3. Edit entities using modify commands.
  4. Use layers, colors, linetypes, and properties.
  5. Construct drawings.
  6. Use inquiry commands.
  7. Design a site circulation / hardscape plan (Concept Phase I).
  8. Create hard copies using Plot commands
  9. Design a softscape flow plan (Concept Phase II).
  10. Create a Master Landscape Plan
